You Are Far Too Smart to Stand in Your Own Way

I heard this somewhere but can’t remember where. What I do remember though is that a version of the same words were said to me, loud and clear, and how gut wrenching it felt to hear.

I realized that the only thing that was blocking me from where I was, to where I wanted to be, was me. I had the power to decide how far I wanted to leap and there was nothing standing in the way except my own limited belief of what was possible.

When I changed the way I looked at my situation and chose to see the potential as attainable, and found the courage to breakthrough my false beliefs, and shut out the voice in my head that was saying “you’re not going to make it,” “who are you to follow your passion” and “what will people think if you do this?” — I was FINALLY free to go for it, and take the first step.

This is true for you. You are capable of living in alignment with your potential. You have a unique calling that the world is waiting for. You deserve to be it.

And as Joseph Campbell says, “A privilege of a lifetime is to be who you are” — and I say, there’s no better time than NOW!

Here’s 3 tips to get started:

  1. ACCEPT where you are. There’s no way you can change your past, there’s no way you can change your present, so breath it in, you are here and how do you want this moment to go? The choice is yours the moment you accept and see that you have a lifetime ahead of you.
  2. CHANGE your habits. Chances are you want to make changes in your life but you aren’t making them. For whatever reason, you haven’t fully stood in your power and started to create the life that you truly desire. In order for this to start to happen, you must change something in your daily habits that will spark fresh perspective. You can wake up an hour earlier to meditate, journal your gratitude before bed or cut out bad eating (junk food) for one day and you will immediately start to see things differently.
  3. LET IT GO. Once you’ve done what you’ve set out to do, let the results go. You can put your intention into your actions, do everything you can to make it happen, but then there comes a time where you have to release and surrender to the outcome. Try this now: what can you let go of in order to let in?

There’s no better time than the present. Get out of your own way and you will start to see what is possible for you. And I promise you, it will be much more exciting than before!

With love,

Tonia
