How to Attract Serendipity Into Your Life

I have a story for you that I think you’ll like..

I started writing a book a while ago. I had a great title, a publisher, and even wrote Chapter 1.

While in the process of writing, I came up with the concept of YUOLOGY and I started doing talks to women on how to be their boldest, most confident selves through the challenges of life, and the book got shelved as I grew this idea into a course curriculum and delivered workshop events.

Now that I’m underway with teaching the YUOLOGY Master Class, I realized that my book, titled, Stiletto’s in the Snow – A Guide to Step up with Gumption and Grace During the Storms of Life – is exactly what I teach in the course that I created! WOW. And I didn’t even plan it that way.

Me and Julie Salisbury (Publisher)

So now that I am reignited to start writing again, I started to think about how much I’d like to re-connect with my publisher. It had been quite a while since we last spoke, and she doesn’t live in Vancouver, so it was not very likely that this would happen.

Then the VERY next day, after telling a friend about my epiphany, I literally bumped into my publisher! No joke. And here we are – ready to get started again!

So why am I telling you this story? Because ATTRACTION is real and it can change your life.

Here are 3 steps to attract serendipity:

  1. Know WHAT you want. You can’t attract the ‘perfect’ scenario until you are clear on what it looks like. This might sound simple but when you are experiencing change you may be uncertain on what you want next. Whether it’s a new job, relationship, city to live, or starting a new creative venture. Be clear on what makes you come alive. What makes you feel excited? What brings you joy? What do you lose your time in without paying attention?
  2. Say it! Once you’re clear on what you want, put it out there. Tell yourself everyday that this is important to you and claim it as if it’s already happening. For example, if you want to feel creatively inspired by starting video blogs, tell yourself you have the best blog out there, give it a name and list out your intentions for it. Tell people that will support you about what you’re doing and be excited about it. When you have positive energy about anything that you’re doing, you will attract more.
  3. Leave room for serendipity. After you get the ball in motion and you take ACTION with intention, let the rest happen. There’s only so much that you can DO and when you push it, you’re not allowing for things to come together organically.

Don’t get me wrong, you must focus and do what you gotta do’, but after you’ve done, you can let it go and see what comes to you. You’ll find that new opportunities will arise, people will enter your life and you will start to have conversations about how cool it is that you seem to be attracting EXACTLY what you’ve been asking for.

Remember, you become what you believe. So be mindful of what you choose to think about and draw into your life.

Here’s to trusting in the bigger picture of your life and knowing that you are always being guided to where you’re supposed to be.

GO FOR IT! And let me know how it comes together for you!

With love,

Tonia
