Last week, I had the honour of being featured in Brunette the Labels,‘The BABElist.’
They have redefined the word BABE to be all about authenticity, support and positivity — with a beautiful mission based on ‘babes supporting babes.’
I couldn’t believe in their vision MORE, as it completely aligns with who I am, what I stand for, and what I teach with YUOLOGY.

I’ve included my A’s to their Q’s below:
What does it mean to be a RISING woman?
Once a woman decides to stop impressing others, by being someone she’s not; and starts stepping into her authentic truth, she has decided to rise. So really, every woman has the potential to be a rising woman at any stage of her life–all she has to do is make a choice to start, and then take action, of course.
What is one thing that you’ve learned from a failure?
Ask for help sooner. At one point in my life, I let things spiral so out of control that I literally stopped a 747 airplane from taking off. It’s not something I’m proud of, but it was at that moment that I realized that I couldn’t do everything myself. I realized that being vulnerable and admitting that I needed help would be my key to moving forward, and would become one of my greatest tools for growth.
How has community impacted your life?
Every time I’ve ever felt alone or isolated, connecting (or re-connecting) with any type of likeminded community, has helped uplift my soul and I feel empowered, faster. Whether it was joining a Buddhist group’s weekly meetings when I moved to New York and didn’t know anybody, attending various women’s events and conferences, or starting my own YUOLOGY community to empower women to be who they are–community has been a huge part of my overall wellbeing, and it’s what I’m personally committed to creating for others.
What is one thing you’ve had to fight for?
Naturally being a very independent, out of the box thinker (aka dreamer), I’ve had to fight for my unconventional dreams, and accept that I wouldn’t always be supported. It’s hard to convince small minds to think BIG, so I stopped trying and kept focused on my vision, and eventually attracted authentic support from other doers who believe in making sh*t happen too.
What does Babes Supporting Babes mean to you?
Authentic women supporting the essence and dreams of other women for no reason other than wanting the collective to rise and succeed together.
Tell us something amazing about your closest competitor?
In my work, I don’t feel that I have competitors. We’re all creating our own expression of personal development, with a unique twist, and there’s so much space for the work that we’re doing. The best part is meeting each other in person, online, and collaborating on events and ideas, and supporting each other as we grow together.
What new trends are you noticing in your industry?
People are seeking connection, authenticity and vulnerability more than ever and as coaches, it’s our responsibility to be as real as we guide our clients to be. There’s definitely a trend to be pretty and perfect online, but I think it’s very important not to leave out real life and the whole perspective of being a human being, so we can cultivate a more authentic reality in the personal development industry.
What motivates you on a Monday morning?
I’ve actually always LOVED Monday because it’s a chance to start a fresh slate of new goals and ideas—and fully let go of last week. It’s an amazing day of newness and opportunity. And when I don’t feel this way, I drink A LOT of coffee.
If you could leave your career with one legacy, what would it be?
That I supported modern women in transition to step into their authentic power with courage and confidence, and that I had a lot of fun while doing it too.
What inspired you to create YUOLOGY?
I’ve been through the discomfort of not knowing what to do and losing myself in the process. I’ve felt alone and unclear on my passion and spent a lot of time trying to find answers. I even moved to New York City in an attempt to ‘find myself’ in a new city/job/relationship. During this time, I realized that I wasn’t going to find myself in anything external, and that I needed to start looking within. I then became a certified coach, NLP practitioner and consultant on Wall Street, and realized that the only way to be successful is to be who you are, which ultimately led to YUOLOGY, the study of you.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your career?
Witnessing women transform their lives. It literally blows my mind every time, and I’m beyond grateful to be even a small part of people stepping into their authenticity and designing their dream lives.
What is your biggest accomplishment since creating YUOLOGY?
That I was able to put 300 pages of ideas into a structured program, life design framework, videos, a workbook, and a transformational course that’s helped over 500 women gain confidence and clarity in who they are and what they want. I could have given up many times, especially when I had no clue what I was doing, but I stuck it through and never gave up on my dream.
What does success mean to you?
Funny, this is the tagline of YUOLOGY and the foundation of what I believe in most, being: success starts the moment you choose to be you.
Who is your biggest inspiration, why?
Oprah. End of story. But really though, she’s a woman who didn’t let her circumstances hold her back, and she had (and still does) an infinite amount of courage to push boundaries, try new things, and connect with everyone she encounters with an open mind and heart.
What does being a BOSS BABE mean to you?
A woman who knows what she wants, and isn’t afraid to go for it. She knows it’s going to be challenging, and that she’ll probably make a ton of mistakes, but she keeps focused on her desires. She asks for help, admits her weaknesses, is vulnerable when she needs to be, supports other babes, and knows that not one ounce of her self worth is dependent on anyone else’s opinion of her.
What is next for YUOLOGY?
Our next semester of YuSchool starts November 11! YuSchool is a 6-week transformational course that teaches confidence, clarity and the courage to design your dream life. It’s specifically for modern women in transition, who are ready to reinvent themselves, and it’s now open for registration.
