At the start of 2020, I did a segment with CTV Morning News on goal setting and how to align your intentions with your desires.
We talked about strategies to come up with goals that you actually want to achieve (opposed to what others may expect of you) and ways to keep authentically in sync with your souls purpose — not societies.
Of course, we couldn’t have anticipated that we would be in the current situation we’re in, but here we are, and some of your goals may have taken a back seat.
As you’ve been adjusting to uncertainty, being in quarantine, self isolating, and grocery shopping with a mask on 😷, it’s understandable that your goals (and mine too) haven’t quite gone as planned.
So be gentle with yourself, and do what you can to maintain your sanity and make some new plans — otherwise known as a life pivot.
This may include connecting more deeply with your loved ones, letting go of ALL things that are no longer serving you, having that long overdue conversation that you’ve been putting off, working with a life coach to focus on personal development and creating deeper meaning and purpose in your life (no excuses for not having enough time anymore 😉) — or dancing it out in your living room, for all your quarantined neighbours to see.
Life is full of uncertainty and change, that’s one thing we know for sure, and it’s your responsibility to pivot where you need to and make some new plans.
