Earlier this week, we officially LET GO of Summer 2020.
As we remember all that it lacked — I think it’s incredibly important for us to take a moment to reflect on what this time also gave us.
I completely appreciate that we weren’t able to travel abroad, adventure with new people, spend time with many of our loved ones, and of course, the list goes on. That goes in the “lacked” list.
But, with every dark shadow, there needs to be light present.
In fact, it’s completely impossible to have darkness, without the polarity of light 🧐.
So here we are, letting go of summer 2020 and let’s do it with grace and gratitude.
One way to identify the value that it brought is to ask yourself, “what did I gain?”
And I’m not speaking about the Covid lbs 😂.
The reality is, if you take a minute to reflect on what you GAINED (in terms of value) chances are, you’ll come up with some great stuff.
Some of the value I’ve heard from friends and clients are:
TIME in nature, CLARITY in life purpose, CONFIDENCE to make a change, CREATIVE ideas/side projects inspired, VULNERABLE breakthroughs, AUTHENTIC connections.
For me, the word I’m choosing is “DEPTH.”
Many of the relationship and connections I had — got deeper. Instead of talking about travels and adventure, we talked about life and purpose in a much deeper and meaningful way.
I’ve had multiple hour conversations with friends around the world (thank god for video chats), we’ve laughed, cried, got raw + vulnerable, REAL and authentic.
The same friends I would have been partying with in Paris, Amalfi and Marbella this summer, are now sharing parts of themselves I didn’t even know existed.
Same with my friends close by, who’ve transformed into feeling more like family and my coaching clients who’ve chosen to go deep, face their fears with courage, and finally commit to their dreams.
The depth of the ocean, that surrounds the city I currently live, has also been a huge blessing through all of it — especially this summer 💦☀️.
All in all, it’s been a summer of DEPTH over here, and I’m looking forward to what Autumn has to bring 🥰.
